Jeevanti

One that is alive

JEEVANTI is a celebration of the seasonal and localized food systems. It is more than an event, it is a movement to demystify the jargons around what we eat and explore the interlinkages between food, identity, culture, ecology and local realities.

Intention:

Through JEEVANTI we wanted to promote and support resilient practices of growing food that have been an integral part of rural landscapes for generations. We hosted discussions around foods that is local, seasonal, as well as culturally and ecologically appropriate. We were successful to deep dive into the lesser-explored world of foods, bringing out incredible stories and fostering meaningful connections.

We were able to create spaces to connect with our cultivators: engage in conversations with the nurturers of food. Ask questions, share insights and forge connections that go beyond market spaces.
